Syncthing 0.11.2 (R4x86 / R5ARM / R6ARM / R6x86)

syncthing

There’s a new release of Syncthing as well: 0.11.2. This version fixes some issues with Windows clients, local deletes and adds some tweaks. For a full list of changes see the Syncthing 0.11.2 changelog. Updated add-ons are available here in case your installation didn’t upgrade automatically:

Have fun!

  1. Syncthing works great. I have bought all versions since I have it in use on RreadyNAS OS version R6x86, R6ARM, R5ARM, and R4x86. Ofcourse I also have a ReadyNAS Duo v1 with SPARC and OS 4, would love to be able to have Syncthing on that one too. Will there be Syncthing for ReadyNAS OS 4 (SPARC)? Alternatively btsync would also be great.

    • Unfortunately there’s no Sparc binary for Syncthing available and thus I can’t easily build an add-on for the Sparc platform. If my time permits (and it currently doesn’t look like it will) I may have a try at building the needed compilers for the Sparc platform and build a binary. But don’t hold your breath while waiting for that. And yes, I’d love to have that too for I also use ReadyNAS systems from all of their lines 😉

  2. Hi,

I too would love Syncthing built for SPARC, so commenting to subscribe.

I might try a build using gccgo during the summer.

    Cheers,
    Daniel

When Syncthing do an automatic upgrade, Syncthing restarts… but do not start again. I have to logon to ReadyNas admin page and manually start Syncthing again. This has happened for every version from 0.11.2 to 0.11.10. Because of this I have turned off Automatic upgrades in Syncthing 🙁 Happens every time it upgrades on my R6x64 and R6arm. It do NOT happen on my R5arm, Syncthing automaticly updates and restarts just fine on my R5arm 🙂

  4. I’m aware of the problem. The source seems to be the systemd launch system used on ReadyNAS OS 6. On older ReadyNAS systems that aren’t using systemd restarts don’t pose a problem. I’m looking into it but haven’t found a working solution yet for RNOS6, sorry.

I too would love a SPARC built. It would be great if you can find the time! Many thanks!
