Python 2.7 now supports TLS v1.2 (RAIDiator 4 x86)

After some reports that the Python based tools were experiencing strange SSL errors I found the reason for that being the missing TLS v1.2 support in the OpenSSL library the Python binaries were linked against. So I backported the OpenSSL libraries from Debian Jessie and repackaged the Python add-on for RAIDiator 4 (x86). For registered users the new add-on is available throught the “My Account” page, all other can get it from here:

Gitea 1.4.0 (ReadyNAS OS 6 x86 / ARM & RAIDiator 4 x86)

Gitea 1.4.0 has been released so I updated the apps/add-ons for ReadyNAS OS 6 (x86 & ARM) as well as the add-on for ReadyNAS systems still running RAIDiator 4:

Transmission 2.93 (ReadyNAS 4 x86 & ReadyNAS 5 ARM)

When checking for available updates to add-ons I found that Transmission has been updated a couple of times without me noticing. So here are the new add-ons for ReadyNAS OS 4 x86 and ReadyNAS OS 5 ARM:

Why no version for ReadyNAS OS 4 Sparc? The simple reason is that some changes to the Transmission code base are incompatible with some of the libraries used on the Sparc based ReadyNAS systems. I’m working on building a version for Sparc but there’s no guarantee it will work and I didn’t want to postpone the release for the other ReadyNAS platforms.

Owncloud 10.0.6 (ReadyNAS OS 6, RAIDiator 5, RAIDiator 4 x86)

Owncloud is updated to 10.0.6 and the app/add-on is now available for almost all ReadyNAS systems except RAIDiator 4 Sparc. Please also note that while the versions for ReadyNAS OS 6 support MySQL out of the box this feature is still missing for the RAIDiator 5 and 4 versions.

Gitea: Git Management for ReadyNAS OS 4 (x86)

After releasing Gitea for the ReadyNAS OS 6 platform I received quite a few requests for Gitea on the older RAIDiator 4 platform. To be able to provide such an add-on I first had to port a newer git version to those systems. Now that this is done I’m happy to provide Gitea for all users with an x86 based system running RAIDiator 4. The add-on currently includes git version 2.15.1, an even newer version than what is available on ReadyNAS OS 6.
If that sounds interesting to you, here is the links to the add-on:
